Warzone: 200 Player Battle Royale, New Scope, And More In Latest Update

Warzone is about to get even more hectic with the new Season Four Reloaded update. In a blog post from Activision today, the team lays out some upcoming changes to Warzone and Modern Warfare. Most notable of all is the addition of 50 more players to the quads gametype. That means that 200 players will now drop into Verdansk instead of the usual 150. This new player count makes Warzone an even more intense Battle Royale experience. So get ready to fight over loot more than you’re used to!

New Spotter Scope

Also included with the next update is the newest piece of gear, the Spotter Scope. This wont be an attachable scope, but rather it will be a reusable item that allows you to scan the environment around you and mark enemies without being detected. The Spotter Scope does not give off the glint that a typical sniping scope will give off when scoped in. Which makes this piece of equipment perfect for those players that like to scout ahead and plan their attacks.

New Mode and Contract

As Season 4 continues, we are still seeing the introduction of new modes and new contracts being brought into the mix of Warzone. In this update, players will be able to enjoy a new mode as well as a new contract. The new mode, Juggernaut Royale, has airdropped packages with Juggernaut suits. Players will surely battle over the packages then turn the firepower up to 11 and wreak havoc until inevitably running out of time or HP. When a Juggernaut player dies and is sent to the Gulag, a new Juggernaut package spawns. So Juggernaut Royale will surely be an exciting twist to the game.

The new Contract, called Supply Run, gives you a discount at a specific Buy Station if you can make it there in time. This will most likely increase vehicle traffic, so maybe pack a Rocket Launcher next time.

New Multiplayer Map: Cheshire Park

Those who have the full game of Modern Warfare will now have a new multiplayer map thrown into their queue’s—Cheshire Park. Located in urban London, the map is set in a scenic garden with luxurious town homes. Players will face both close-quarters combat as well as long sight-lines among multiple levels. And of course all sorts of in’s and out’s that weave throughout the map.

New Marksman Rifle and MP Game Mode

Modern Warfare players will also receive the newest Marksman Rifle, the Rytec AMR. The .50 Caliber semi-automatic rifle packs a punch and will be given to players who complete a specific challenge in the game. A classic game mode is also being reintroduced after over a decade. Team Defender, introduced in Modern Warfare 3, is back. Only one flag, earn a point for every second your team controls the flag. Defending the flag carrier is the main focus.

Existing free-to-play Warzone players will have a download size of approximately 22GB-30GB for the Season Four Reloaded update. The download will be approximately 22-36 GB for owners of the full version of Modern Warfare. Console owners must install a secondary download of approximately 3.5 GB, then reboot the game to access Multiplayer, if desired. The Season Four Reloaded update goes live for Modern Warfare and Warzone at 11 p.m. PDT on June 29.
