Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 has some big changes coming. The FPS battle royale sequel releases a week from today. As we wait, check out the new details that emerged today from the official Call of Duty blog that will undoubtedly create a new variation of play style for the .
The biggest of those changes happen to be with the Loadouts and how players will get their custom loadouts as before. Its not quite the same, and you won’t be able to get your fully customized loadouts anymore.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Loadout Changes
In Warzone 2.0, you won’t be able to walk up to a buy station and cash in your $10,000 to get your nicely customized loadout. Instead, you can only purchase your primary weapon. For everything else like a secondary weapon, throwables or perks, those have to be earned in-game.
You can do that in one of two ways. By taking over ‘Stronghold’s’ or capturing a random crate drop. Stronghold’s seem like a quicker option as explained on the blog post. The first team to clear a Stronghold earns a complete loadout. You’ll also receive a key to a ‘Black Site’; an even more difficult AI zone with even better loot.
2v2 Gulag Explained
The Gulag in Warzone 2.0 is also receiving some changes. The Gulag will now be a 2v2 gunfight. Players will receive a Pistol, a Shotgun, a Lethal Grenade, and a Tactical Grenade. There will also be high tier weapons and gear in the middle of the map.
But that’s not all. The matches will also include a ‘Jailer’. If the Jailer is defeated, it returns all four players back into the game. This should make for some interesting gameplay for sure. There’s also, no overtime. If no team wins or the Jailer is not defeated then all four players are out.
