While you might not be a wizard in real life, you will be able to follow in the wand-wielding Harry Potter’s footsteps sometime next year. Thats right, a new open-world Harry Potter RPG game is set to release on multiple platforms, including next-gen consoles, Xbox Series X and PS5 in 2021.
Rumors of the game first started circulating in October of 2018 when a video surfaced on Reddit showing what appeared to be some sort of Harry Potter open world RPG game. The video also shows a fully customizable character and all sorts of spells being casted.

For you Potter fans that can’t wait that long, not to worry as a rumor is dashing around faster than a golden snitch. An official reveal of the game is said to be planned sometime after August of this year.
This Harry Potter project was set to be announced at E3 in June. But with the event being canceled due to the coronavirus, Warner Bros had to alter their strategy and they ultimately chose to save the reveal for a future date.

The game is set in the magical wizarding world of Harry Potter. As you play as a wizard you’re able to roam freely on the grounds of an open-world Hogwarts, as well as other infamous sites from the popular book series.
