Red Dead Redemption 2 Coming To Steam Next Week

Red Dead Redemption 2 will release on Steam on December 5th. Rockstar Games has announced the news in a Tweet. We already knew that the Steam version of Rockstar’s western would be coming to the platform somewhere in December. Now we have a specific date to put on our calendars.

Red Dead Redemption 2 originally released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in October of last year. The PC version subsequently came out in October, albeit exclusively for the Epic Games Store and the Rockstar Games Launcher. Red Dead Redemption 2 also released on Google Stadia – which launched the 19th of November.

PC gamers might not have had the best experience with RDR2 in the past month. The initial PC version of the game was almost unplayable, even with the most monstrous of gaming rigs. The streaming version of the game, available through Google Stadia, allegedly wasn’t that much better. Google’s platform is said to barely pump out 1440p, let alone the promised 4K resolution.

Update (29-11-2019): The article suggested that Red Dead Redemption 2 was only available for PC on the Epic Games Store and Stadia, excluding the Rockstar Games Launcher from that list. The article has been updated accordingly.
