Season 4 of Apex Legends, titled Assimilation, is set to begin February 4th. In the new season players will be introduced to a new character, new weapon, new battle pass items, and much more.
New Legend: Forge
The newest addition to the Apex roster is named Forge. From everything we’ve gathered, Forge is a brute character who thrives on getting up close and personal with his enemies. And according to his character description:
Confident yet humble, Forge uses his size, strength, and heavy-duty Shatter Gauntlets to batter his opponents into submission.
As you can tell in the picture below, Forge looks to have a mean left hook. Perhaps one of his passive abilities will be increased melee damage? We will have to wait and see.
Forge is also the first Legend introduced that is corporately sponsored. The company sponsoring Forge is none other than Titanfall’s very own Hammond Robotics which subsequently may also be responsible for some map changes coming soon according to design director Jason McCord.
New Weapon: Sentinel
Also coming with Season 4 is a new bolt action sniper rifle. As design director Jason McCord explains in a video update, the Sentinel rifle is a bolt action rifle but with a charging mechanism. We can’t wait to get our hands on this one!
Changes to Ranked & Battle Pass
Players will also be seeing some changes to the tiers in ranked play. Apex Predator tier will now be reserved for the top 500 players on the leaderboard. Filling the gap will be Master Tier.
The battle pass will also be reset with all new items including over 100 exclusive items including Legendary skins, Apex Packs, Loading Screens, Music Packs, and more!
As more content comes out in preparation for Season 4 of Apex Legends we will be sure to post it. Until then, players still have a week and a half to wait for the beginning of Season 4.
