Epic is going to be running tournaments conveniently called the “Fortnite World Cup” which starts with ten weekly online open qualifiers. These qualifiers will run from April 13th through June 16th. Each week, Epic is putting $1,000,000 on the line for players.
The top 100 Solo players and the top 50 Duos teams from around the world will join Epic for the Fortnite World Cup Finals in New York City July 26-28 with a $30,000,000 prize pool up for grabs! Each one of those players will be guaranteed at least $50,000 and the Fortnite World Cup Solo Champion will walk away with $3,000,000.
If you dont win any of these tournaments, Epic has also said they will continue to award $1,000,000 weekly cash tournaments through the rest of the year. These tournaments will be a little different though, involving different modes and formats. Helping to involve different types of players.
You have to be at least 13 years old to participate in these tournaments. You’ll have to have permission from your parents if you are between the ages of 13 to 17… if you win a million dollars, are they really gonna say no? Player accounts also must be in good standing with Epic to compete.
