Ever since Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was integrated in Warzone, players have been experiencing a potentially game breaking bug sporadically. While pickup up a loadout from a Loadout Crate, the game seems to freeze for a second sometimes. This brief window of time has resulted in plenty of lame deaths. Here’s how to fix it.
How to fix the Warzone Loadout freeze bug
Getting a Loadout in Warzone can be both a blessing and a curse, as it can deliver your perfect set of weapons, but also death. Loadout Crates are highly contested to begin with, and it gets more dangerous when the game freezes for up to seconds at a time.
But luckily there’s apparently an easy way to fix the Warzone Loadout freeze bug. Responding to a Reddit post complaining about the bug, a user by the name /r/heymanitsdan suggested a potential fix.
- Wait for the round to start and you’re in the plane
- Open the in-game Options menu
- Wait a few seconds until the freeze occurs in the menu
- Leave the menu and enjoy the game worry-free
As the freeze occurs sporadically it’s hard to test it specifically. But in the few rounds we’ve played, it seems to work like a charm. Let’s be clear though, this isn’t a fix, but a mere workaround for the Warzone Loadout freeze glitch. Apparently the game just ‘has to get it out of it’s system’ in the option menu.
Hopefully Raven Software fixes the problem entirely soon. As of yet, the workaround is a chore to do before getting into a game, and it prevents you from gaining intel on your enemies and/or jumping quickly. When the loadout bug is finally fixes, you’ll be able to pick up those optimal loadouts worry-free.
