Latest Warzone Playlist Update Removes Helicopters

As season 3 of Modern Warfare continues, the playlist updates keep coming. And with the latest update comes a change that have brought mixed opinions. The latest update for Warzone removes helicopters from the battle royale map. Infinity Ward hasn’t offered any explanation on why they removed helicopters from the game but we are speculating that there is a multitude of reasons. One reason could possibly be that players have been using the helicopters to airlift vehicles to various buildings on the map including the stadium.

Some players also reported multiple spots on the map where players could exploit a glitch using a helicopter. The glitch allowed players to get beneath the map in Warzone and stay in the helicopter for the entirety of the game, ultimately ruining the game for anyone left in the game.

Other changes to the playlists can be seen below. Players will be able to enjoy Shipment 24/7 playlist once again as well as the return of Blood Money in Warzone. And while one Infinity Ward developer did mention that a nerf to the Akimbo .357’s was coming soon, it appears that has been pushed to a later update. Here’s the full list of playlist changes:

  • Replacing Plunder Trios with Blood Money Trios
  • Disabled helicopters in BR
  • Removing: GW Reinfected, Cranked 3v3 Gunfight, Ground War
  • Shoot the Ship becomes Shipment 24/7
  • Gun Game becomes Gun Game Reloaded
  • Adding Demolition
  • Adding Boots on the Ground War

There’s no mention of when we can expect to see helicopters back in the game, if at all. But hopefully once developers figure out a fix we will see them back in Modern Warfare and Warzone. If we get word of it we will be sure to update our readers.
