According to multiple leaks, Season 5 of Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is just around the corner. Leading up to the official release, the rumor mill has been churning out information on a large scale. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming fifth season of Warzone.
New guns
Let’s be real, new toys to play with is always good news right? According to datamined code from Season 4, a few well known weapons will be coming to Verdansk soon. For starters, the Intervention will supposedly make a return. The classic bolt action sniper rifle quick-scoped many unsuspecting victims in Modern Warfare 2. File names for the Remington Model 700 sniper rifle were allegedly also discovered.
m200 & m200_c are two new code files that were added with Season 4
m200 = CheyTac Intervention
So likely the Intervention could drop in Season 5 (this is not 100% confirmed)

Additionally, another Twitter-account reminded fans that the iconic SPAS-12 shotgun was also uncovered from code. We haven’t seen any concrete information about that weapon though.
Operators
Leaks have also suggested the introduction of many popular Call of Duty characters. Infinity Ward recently added Captain Price. While there are probably no other character as iconic as Price, leaks did talk about the addition of John Woods from the Black Ops franchise and John ‘Soap’ MacTavish from Modern Warfare.

Warzone Battle pass
Of course, no Warzone Season would be complete without a new Battle Pass. As far as we can tell, there are no changes to the Battle Pass system incoming. So it’s likely you can expect 100 tiers of rewards, new skins, cosmetics, an operator, and all the other Warzone Battle Pass stuff. If nothing changes, the price of 1000 COD Points ($9.99) will still be applicable.
Train and Season 5 release date
Lastly today, we have two more important pieces of information, extracted from a single teaser video. Earlier this month, popular CoD streamer NICKMERCS allegedly received an official teaser video for him to show to his viewers. There have been a lot of rumors saying a moving train is coming to Verdansk. Much like in Apex Legends, the train is said to contain loot and opens up a whole new way of traversing the huge map. The video at least confirms the addition of a train horn, but probably the actual train too.

Additionally, the video shows a not so subtle hint about the release date of Warzone Season 5. It says ‘5-aug-2020’, which seems to be an on the nose reference to the release date.
