PlayStation 5 Reveal Event Officially Announced By Sony

Sony has officially announced an upcoming PlayStation 5 reveal event, subtitled ‘The Future of Gaming’. On June 4th we’ll see the very first games coming to the upcoming console! Here’s what to expect.

PlayStation 5 reveal event

After months of uncertainty, the time has finally come. For the first time, we’ll see which games are coming to the PlayStation 5. Of course, we’ve already seen the first ‘gameplay’ with the Unreal Engine 5 reveal. But come June, we’ll finally see actual games, not a tech demo. On June 4th, at 1:00PM PT, you can watch the official stream via YouTube or Twitch.

During the livestream, Sony will most likely reveal a number of upcoming games, similar to what Microsoft did with the Xbox Series X game reveals. In an accompanying blogpost, Sony again confirms a 2020 holiday release window. “This digital showcase will run for a bit more than an hour. And for the first time, we will all be together virtually experiencing the excitement together.”

More to come

With one more piece of the puzzle being announced, there’s really only thing we don’t know about the PlayStation 5: How does it look?! ? Apart from it’s appearances, we do have a logo, the DualSense controller, and most importantly the specs. Of course, we got a rain check from Sony, as they plan to announce more details over the coming months. When the actual reveal of the PlayStation 5 is going to take place, is as of yet unknown.

This is part of our series of PS5 updates and, rest assured, after next week’s showcase, we will still have much to share with you.
