Microsoft recently announced their newest service: the Xbox Game Pass (Ultimate) for Xbox, PC, and Android smartphones. On the surface it’s just one of so many game subscription services. But if you’re already on Xbox, it really offers insane bang for your buck.
Xbox Game Pass
The Xbox Game Pass offers a respectable launch line-up of 150 games for a set subscription fee every month. The games range from older titles, to brand new exclusives, and from indie sweethearts to big blockbuster games.
Some of the offered games include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Forza Horizon 4, Sea of Thieves, Fallout 76, Subnautica, Mount & Blade: Warband, DayZ, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Metro 2033 Redux, Middle Earth: Shadow of War, Gears of War 5, Batman: Arkham Knight, and many more.
Plans
What makes the Xbox Game Pass even more attractive is the fact that there is a plan for everyone. In the table below, you’ll get a good overview of what is available. For example, there is an Xbox for consoles only (both current and next-gen). You could opt for a PC only subscription. Or you could make the smart choice of getting the best bang for your buck, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, no-brainer
As you would expect, the Xbox Game Pas Ultimate checks all the boxes for just $14.99 a month. It is the only subscription that offers Xbox Live Gold and cloud gaming on Android smartphones. You can read here why iPhone’s are excluded and check out a recent guide explaining how to connect any wireless controller to your smartphone.
Whatever the case, Xbox Live Gold alone already costs a maximum of $9.99 a month. So you’re basically getting the Xbox and PC Game Pass, plus cloud gaming and EA Play for 5 bucks a month! In other words, a no-brainer for gamers that already have an Xbox Live Gold membership and want to experience cloud gaming, PC gaming, and/or a bunch of ‘free’ games to check out. And just to be clear, no, we have no affiliation with Microsoft or Xbox in any way. But mister Spencer, if you’re reading this: We’re willing to negotiate a deal with you guys! Provided we get an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, of course.
And speaking of affiliates, if you want to take your mobile gaming to the next level, consider checking out ProPhoneGamers for all your mobile gaming gear and get 10% off with the promocode ‘GE2020’ at checkout.
